The Junior League of Lafayette is celebrating its 55th birthday, but instead of receiving gifts the group is giving quite a present to the people of Acadiana. Scott Brazda displays the Spirit of Acadiana out and about at Mouton park in Lafayette.

In Opelousas, the Lighthouse Mission for Men provides food, shelter and career counseling sessions. For the past 30 years, Lighthouse was lacking on thing, a place of worship. The Chitimacha Louisiana Open starts in March, and there a still a need for sponsors and volunteers! Over the years the donations for non-profits involved jumped from five figures to six figures. That's local money that falls into the hands of great local causes. In this segment of the "Spirit of Acadiana" Scott shows us the Spirit of giving in a major way.
