  Mardi Gras to Push Back Garbage Schedule

  Mardi Gras will delay garbage and recycling pick-up for some Lafayette Parish residents. Allied Waste customers who receive service on Tuesday or later will have their trash picked up one day later, including the Friday route running on Saturday. Residents who have Monday trash service will not see any delays.

  For over 26 years, St. Edward School New Iberia, has celebrated Mardi Gras with their very own parade. This years parade was held yesterday, Feb. 6th.

  LARC Kicks Off Operation Bead Collection

  LARC has officially kicked off Operation Bead Collection. All Mardi Gras beads and trinkets can be donated to any Goodwill of Acadiana Store. Beads will then be delivered to LARC where individuals with developmental disabilities will sort and repackage beads and items for resale back to public. (More)
