Zoo of Acadiana: Thankful for all the Support and Donations

The Zoo of Acadiana is thankful for all the donations and support after having three of their birds stolen. After the suspect stole the birds he crashed his car. Kiwi, one of the birds stolen, died as a result of his injuries from the crash. Senny was able to fly away but was later located at a Broussard gas station and returned home. He is safe and well. One of the birds is still missing, but Acadiana and surrounding areas have shown an outcry of support. Birds have been donated to the zoo and Misha's Pet Boutique, in Lake Charles, is raising money to get another bird just like Kiwi, a White Bellied Caique to give too the zoo. An Indian Ringneck was also donated, which is one like the bird that is still missing. Lea Loftin of the Zoo of Acadiana said they never knew how much the zoo meant to so many people.
