The Keeping Youth Trained and Educated program is accepting applications for its 2013 Fall session at South Louisiana Community College.
The KYTE program will accept applications through Oct. 11. Applicants must be an out-of-school youth between the ages of 16-21. Participants get help to earn a GED, career readiness training, and enrollment into a post-secondary institution/vocational training program.
The program begins on Oct. 14 and ends March 28, 2014. Hours are Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. It is tuition-free for all eligible applicants and is located at SLCC's Ardoin Building, 1101 Bertrand Drive in Lafayette.
To obtain and/or submit an application, contact Chanda Moffett at the Lafayette Business and Career Solution Center, located at 706 East Vermilion Street in Lafayette, or call her at (337) 262-5514.
Potential applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. The KYTE program has 25 available slots and acceptance will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
