BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge police say a man from Youngsville has been arrested for allegedly using Visa and MasterCard gift cards that had been encoded with credit card information stolen from several victims.
The man allegedly used the bogus cards to purchase more than $8,000 in goods from various Baton Rouge area merchants.
Police say 38-year-old Miguel Garcia was arrested in the case earlier this week. He was booked with access device fraud, forgery, identity theft and felony theft.
