You Gotta Move Tries Hoopercize

Whether your goal is to get heart-healthy or to lighten your load, you gotta move! It's not often the words "exercise" and "fun" happen in the same sentence, but I found one workout where these two things happen in the same circle. It's called Hoopercize. It's aerobic exercise with an adult-sized hula hoop. The hoops are weighted and are easier to keep around your hips. You are constantly moving and usually get your heart rate up within one to two songs. The roughly hour workout includes warm-up, cardio workout (including some upper and lower body exercises) and the cool down. And it is a lot of fun! Remember, your goal should be a cumulative total of 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week. Whether it's zumba, walking, aerobic housework, running around the yard with the kids, Hoopercize... you gotta move!
