As we prepare to kick off a brand New Year, many of us want to resolve to be healthier. But what does that mean and where are you starting from? The American Heart Association may have some answers to help you keep it simple.
"The root of the problem is overweight. That leads to diabetes to high blood pressure to high cholesterol to stroke, premature death, heart attack, amputation" said Dr. Fuzzle.
We have all heard the stories of how America is too overweight it's not only true, it's a major contributor to many of the other medical issues we face and medicated for. In my visit with Dr. Fuzzle, he reiterated what we've all heard time and again prevention is the key. That's where life's simple seven comes in. It's an online program offered by the American Heart Association to assess your life and help you make changes that will help you live better and hopefully longer. And Dr. Fuzzle stresses that it's important to pay attention to the things you can't see and maybe even can't feel like high blood pressure.
"It can cause heart attack or stroke, first symptom, Check it, That's the only way to know," Said Dr. Fuzzle
And when you eat right and start moving, you start to feel better!
"People don't realize that their energy level is low, they need to fuel to do those things," Said Claudia Neef.
