NEW IBERIA, La. (AP) - Off hours, the identical twins are "Da Bayou Boys," tag-team wrestlers Boudreaux and Thibodaux. On the job, they're 30-year-old Wesley and Jesse Hayes, warden and deputy warden at the Iberia Parish Jail.
They've worked at the jail for seven years, and as wrestlers for three.
For more than 30 shows a year in Louisiana and neighboring states, they're comedy Cajuns who shove boudin (boo-danh) sausage into the mouths of losing opponents.
Wesley Hayes says that they had to learn physical moves, how to entertain a crowd and a thick Cajun accent.
The brothers say they weren't keen at first about playing bumpkins from the swamps.
Jesse Hayes says, in his words, "Now we've taken it as far as we can, and try to take it a little further each time we go out there."
