Worker Injured in Lift Accident

A construction worker is in a local hospital following a worksite accident. The accident took place at a site on Weco Road. Broussard Police Chief Brannon Decou says the employee accidently drove a lift off of a sidewalk, causing the lift to flip with him in it. Decou says the man, whose name has not been released, was properly strapped into the lift. He was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
