THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - Police in Thibodaux have accused an employee in the city's Parks Department of accepting money in exchange for falsifying community service time sheets.
The Daily Comet reports that the case involved an employee allegedly willing to take $250 from a Thibodaux Police confidential informant in a deal to credit the informant with 240 hours of community service that were never completed.
Arrested Monday was 32-year-old Trish Gaudet (GOH'-day). She was booked with 17 counts of injuring a public record. She was taken to the Lafourche Parish jail with bond set at $75,000. Officials said she has a civil service hearing scheduled for Wednesday.
