Work Trustee Escapes; Cecilia Schools on Soft Lockdown

All Cecilia schools are on a soft lockdown after a work-release inmate escaped from his work crew. St. Martin Parish Schools Superintendent Richard Lavergne says sheriff's deputies reported to him that the suspect is not a dangerous threat to students, hence the soft lockdown. Lavergne adds all dismissals will take place at their normal times. Sheriff's deputies say they have not identified the escapee yet, but they are working to find out who it is.
