BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Sheriff's deputies say a 61-year-old Woodlawn High School bus driver has been arrested and booked for allegedly persuading an 18-year-old female mentally disabled student who rode his bus to perform a sex act.
The Advocate reports Donald Bordelon of Zachary was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison Friday on counts of aggravated rape.
According to the arrest affidavit, the victim reported that in all, the incidents happened about six times on the school bus. She also said Bordelon gave her a cellphone and candy.
Bordelon had been employed by the East Baton Rouge Parish School System for at least two years. Spokesman Chris Trahan says no complaints or grievances had been filed regarding Bordelon until this incident.
It couldn't be determined if Bordelon has an attorney.
