Woman's body discovered on side of road

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Tony Mancuso says a 19-year-old woman whose body was found on the side a road is apparently the victim of homicide.
The victim was identified as Sierra Bouzigard of Moss Bluff.
Mancuso said Bouzigard's body was found at 7:37 a.m. Monday by a bicyclist who was out for a morning ride.
The sheriff tells the American Press Bouzigard was hit in the head by a blunt instrument.
While the Calcasieu Parish coroner's findings are not yet complete, Mancuso said it is believed Bouzigard had been dead less than 24 hours.
