Woman sentenced on sex charges

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - A 29-year-old Westlake woman has entered a guilty plea in 14th Judicial District Court to felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and was sentenced Tuesday to a year in prison as part of a plea agreement that mirrors the one she entered in Beauregard Parish.
The American Press reports Heather Daughdrill was accused of having sex with a 13-year-old boy. She faced four counts of carnal knowledge, eight counts of sexual battery, three counts of second-degree kidnapping, one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile and one count of contributing to a juvenile's delinquency.
Daughdrill was sentenced to five years in prison with four years suspended.
Daughdrill pleaded guilty to one count of felony carnal knowledge in Beauregard in September and was sentenced to one year in prison.
