Woman Sentenced for False Rape Report

JENNINGS, La. (AP) - A former Lake Arthur woman has been
sentenced for filing a false police report after she admitted to
making up separate rape and armed-robbery claims in Jefferson Davis
Parish.
The American Press reports 43-year-old Jenny Thibodeaux of
Pierre Part was placed on two years of supervised probation.
Conditions of the probation include serving one year in the parish
jail with credit for time served in an inpatient and outpatient
treatment facility for gambling and self-esteem.
The charges resulted from her alleged false complaint of a rape
in Jennings in November 2008 and an alleged false complaint of
armed robbery, which she said occurred 10 months earlier.
Thibodeaux claimed she was the victim of both crimes, which
officers spent months investigating.
