BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The body of a missing woman has been found in the Bogue Chitto River.
State wildlife and fisheries agents Thursday found 61-year-old Kathy Holloway's body at 7:30 a.m. about a quarter-of-a-mile from where her boat capsized Dec. 28. The St. Tammany Parish coroner will conduct an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.
Authorities are still searching for her husband, 63-year-old William Holloway, using sonar technology and helicopters. They've also used dragging equipment and search dogs.
The Holloways had been camping at the Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge and were last heard from Dec. 27. A passing boater found the capsized vessel, a 14-foot aluminum flat bottom boat, the next morning about a mile from the boat launch at Lock No. 3 on the Pearl River Navigational Canal.
