Woman Raped After She was Lured by Toy

On March 17, Morgan City Police say an adult woman was approached by a man in her neighborhood who offered her a power wheel toy to lure her into his house before he raped her. According to police, he incident happened at 9pm last night on Willard Street in Morgan City. The victim had no relationship to the suspect but had seen him around her neighborhood. Police say that as she walked by his residence, he offered to give her the toy that he said his child had outgrown. He told her it was inside and she followed him to get it before raping her. Jason P. Hargroder, 27, was arrested and charged with Simple Rape. His bond is not yet set.
