ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - A 39-year-old Pineville woman has pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide in the October 2011 death of a prison inmate on work detail.

The Town Talk reports Kellie Geisel also pleaded guilty to vehicular negligent injury on Monday.

She will be sentenced April 27 by state district Judge Patricia Koch. Geisel, who was identified by the last name of Tuttle in earlier police reports, faces a maximum of 35 years in prison, though she's likely to receive far less.

Prosecutors say Geisel was impaired and driving a Jeep on Oct. 14 that veered off La. Highway 28 West and struck inmate Sylvester Miller and a city of Alexandria sanitation truck.

Miller died from his injuries on Oct. 19.
