NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A 65-year-old Harvey woman has pleaded guilty to defrauding the Road Home program.
According to the U.S. Attorney's office, Cecile Payne's primary residence when Hurricane Katrina hit was in Harvey, but she applied for Road Home money claiming a New Orleans rental house she owned as her primary residence at the time of the storm.
Payne received $102,718 in Road Home money.
Payne, who entered her plea on Wednesday, faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine
