Woman killed in St. James Parish crash

UNION, La. (AP) - A head-on crash in St. James Parish took the life of a 54-year-old Convent woman.
State police say Suzanna Chauvin was southbound on La. Highway 44 Thursday afternoon when her car crossed the centerline and struck an 18-wheeler.
Trooper Jared Sandifer says Chauvin, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected from her car.
The truck driver was not injured.
Sandifer says the accident remains under investigation.
