Woman held at gunpoint, police search for suspects

On October 21, 2009, at approximately 8:00 pm, officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to the 1600 block of Moss Street regarding an attempted armed robbery. The victim stated she had just exited a convenience store when she was confronted by two young black males. One of the suspects produced a handgun and demanded her money. The victim refused to cooperate, at which time the suspects fled the area on foot behind the store.

The suspects are described as two young black males in their late teens, thin build and approximately 5' 10" tall. One of the suspects was wearing a black cap, white t-shirt, dark colored jacket and black jeans. He was described to have a soft voice when he spoke. The second suspect was wearing a dark colored t-shirt. The victim, a 41 year old female of Lafayette, was not injured during the incident.
