Woman cited after pit bull kills neighbor's dog

HOUMA, La. (AP) - Terrebonne Parish deputies say they ticketed a Houma woman after her pit bull dog leaped out of her car and killed a neighbor's small poodle.
Deputies said the attack happened Tuesday evening. According to The Courier the woman told police that the pit bull jumped out of her car and attacked the neighbor's dog before she could catch it.
The 26-year-old woman was cited for unlawful ownership of a dangerous dog. It was not immediately clear what will be done with the pit bull.
