Woman Booked in Boyfriend's Death

Ascension Parish authorities have arrested a 22-year-old woman in the stabbing death of her boyfriend.
Sheriff's Chief Criminal Deputy Tony Bacala says deputies were called to investigate reports of a stabbing at a Donaldsonville mobile home park Tuesday night.
When they arrived, Bacala said deputies found 38-year-old Brian Keith Norris had been stabbed once in the chest.
Bacala said Sherri Dubois Slayton was booked Wednesday with second-degree murder.
Slayton is being held in the Ascension Parish Jail under a $150,000 bond.
Bacala said, that Norris and Slayton had been
living in Ascension Parish since Norris secured a construction job in the area about a month ago.
It was not immediately known whether Slayton has an attorney.
