A woman is arrested on drug charges in Jeff Davis Parish. Friday night, Jeff Davis Sheriff Patrol Deputies were driving on N. Railroad Ave. in Roanoke when they observed a gray Chevrolet Malibu turning off of Azalea street right onto N. Railroad Ave without signaling the turn. Upon making contact with the driver, Jamesha Johnson, 24 of Roanoke, they could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. Deputies obtained written consent from the driver to search the vehicle. Deputies located a pile of what appeared to broken pieces of a crack cocaine cookie. The pieces were located on the front passenger's seat on the seat cover and partially under the seat cover. The passenger, Racquel Antoine, had residue of cocaine on her pants and shirt consistent with the cocaine on the seat. The white rock like substance tested positive for cocaine with the field test wipe. Racquel Antoine; 26, of Roanoke, was arrested and booked into the Jeff Davis parish jail for Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Johnson was cited for Failure to signal and released.
