Woman arrested in truck stop slaying

PINE GROVE, La. (AP) - St. Helena Parish sheriff's deputies say a woman accused of shooting and killing another woman in a truck stop parking lot has been arrested.
Chief of Detectives Joe Chaney tells The Advocate the shooting occurred Tuesday night in the parking lot of the Tall Timbers Truck Stop on La. Highway 16 in Pine Grove. Chaney said the victim was in her 20s.
He says the accused shooter was booked with second-degree murder.
Authorities have not released the names of the two women.
