ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) An Alexandria woman has been arrested in the death of her six-week-old son.

Deputies say 22-year-old Jennifer Rose Dubroc was booked Wednesday on a charged of second-degree murder.

According to Rapides Parish Assistant Chief Deputy Herman Walters, Dubroc was under investigation in the death of her six-week-old son Gabriel Joseph Flournoy who died April 30, 2009. He was brought to a hospital emergency room April 29, because he was not breathing.

While treating the infant, medical personnel noted that he had what appeared to be trauma to his head, and an investigation was started. Findings from the autopsy were released this week determining the child's death to be a homicide.

It wasn't immediately clear if Dubroc has an attorney.
