BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge police have arrested a 30-year-old woman accused of fleeing the scene of a Thursday night fatal hit-and-run accident.
Cpl. L'Jean McKneely tells The Advocate Chasitie Adams was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison Saturday on counts of felony hit-and-run.
Around 10 p.m. Thursday, McKneely says 40-year-old Sothy Lieu was crossing Old Hammond Highway when he was struck and killed by a westbound car.
Police later found Adams' car abandoned in a parking lot.
It was unclear whether Adams has an attorney.
