Woman arrested for stealing from employer

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - A Louisiana sheriff says a former officer manager for Caddo Parish animal hospital has been arrested for allegedly stealing more than $100,000 from her employer.
Sheriff Steve Prator tells The Times 38-year-old Amy Jefferson, of Elysian Fields, Texas, was arrested Tuesday at the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Unit.
Prator says Jefferson is accused of stealing cash received and altering records to conceal the thefts. He says she was captured on video stealing cash.
Jefferson was booked with felony theft.
It was unclear whether she has an attorney.
