Woman Arrested for Allegedly Bringing Contraband into a Correctional Facility

A Breaux Bridge woman was arrested for allegedly trying to bring contraband into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center in Breaux Bridge. Deputies reported that, the suspect, Charmain Landry, was visiting with her son, and while visiting she placed several contraband items in the visitation area, where it would later be collected by inmates. She was arrested and and charged with Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution.
