Wife accused of talking husband into shooting her to avoid deployment

According to ABC affiliate KTBS, Bossier City police have arrested a man accused of shooting his wife so she could avoid going to Afghanistan. Police say his wife, 25-year-old Judy Groomes, talked him into it, so she wouldn't have to be deployed. He's facing a weapons charge; she's facing a charge of filing a false police report.
26-year-old Christopher Tyquan Groomes allegedly shot one round that wounded his wife in both legs. However, Judy Groomes allegedly initially told police she was shot by an intruder that came inside her home while her family was asleep. Groomes is an active member of the U.S. Air Force, who has since been released from the hospital.
