White Named New Assistant District Attorney

District Attorney Mike Harson has sworn in a new assistant district attorney to handle traffic and DUI cases. Celeste White took the oath of office earlier this week. She will replace Greg Williams, who resigned last week. Williams and his secretary, Denease Curry, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bribery in connection with a scheme in which employees in the district attorney's office took cash to dismiss OWI cases. White is an LSU Law School graduate and was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 2009.
