Wheelchair stolen from campground

A disheartening story out of Scott where a young woman bound to a wheelcahir had that wheelchair stolen.Police believe the wheelchair was stolen overnight. Twenty-year-old Lacey is wheelchair bound. The family was there for a weekend vacation. But now, Lacey is stuck inside.
"She have severe cerebral palsy," said Lacey's mother, Christine Ray. "She can not walk, she cant sit up on her own, she don't speak, we can understand her. She's even on a feeding tube and this is her only means to get around."
Lacey loves camping. This weekend was going to be the family's last trip before the summer heat sets in.
"Who would do this kind of thing for a wheelchair with bikes and everything else of value outside, why steal the wheelchair?" said Ray. "If it's a prank, it's not a prank, it's not a joke."
Police are investigating the case as a theft. Lacey had a custom made purple wheelchair. It's not visible in the picture, but the chair has Lacey's name on the back of the seat.
"It's about $8,000 and we don't have the money to replace it," said Ray. "If you did take the chair, please return it. She needs her chair. We can not get her to the doctors, we can not get her anywhere, without her chair."
As you can imagine the family is desperate to get the chair back. If you have any information please call Scott Police.
