A stagnant weather pattern remains in place. Tropical like moisture trapped across Acadiana keeping rain chances high for each day. The chance for showers and thunderstorms should pick up again by the early morning commutes advancing eastward much like it did today. Rainfall totals could reach 1-3 inches each day through Friday. At least with a rain cool air and extra cloud cover, it has kept temperatures slightly below normal. It is safe to say keep the umbrella handy as the wet and damp weather continues. Rainfall totals could quickly add up from already saturated ground, the NWS issued a Flash Flood Watch starting tomorrow at 1am through the evening for Beauregard and Vernon Parishes.
Slightly reverting back to a more typical summer time pattern by Sunday/Monday as the Bermuda high extends westward into the central Gulf. This should allow temps to creep back up and some drier air to take place. However, rain chances staying near the 30-40% range and occurring more during the daytime thanks to heating.
