DeRIDDER, La. (AP) - A 28-year-old Westlake woman arrested in November for sex-related offenses against a 13-year-old boy is scheduled to stand trial in Beauregard Parish on May 21.
Authorities say Heather N. Daughdrill was arrested in Calcasieu and Beauregard parishes for allegedly having sexual contact with the boy.
Calcasieu Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Daughdrill was teaching at a summer Bible school camp where the boy attended.
Beauregard District Attorney David Burton said Daughdrill pleaded not guilty to charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile, sexual battery, second-degree kidnapping, contributing to a juvenile's delinquency and indecent behavior with a juvenile on Feb. 7.
The American Press reports a trial date has not yet been set in Calcasieu Parish where she faces similar charges.
