ST. FRANCISVILLE, La. (AP) - West Feliciana Parish's Economic Development Board has voted to hire an economic director, moments after the parish Police Jury approved a new resolution of authority for the board.
The Advocate reports the board hired Dennis A. Manshack of Baton Rouge Monday to be the parish's first full-time business and industry hunter since April 2010.
Manshack was chief operations officer and executive director of the Louisiana Economic Development Corp., a quasi-state agency, from 1997 to 2001, and most recently was a vice president at a Baton Rouge location of Gulf Coast Bank and Trust Co. of New Orleans.
Manshack also served in other banking positions in Mississippi.
The board said it will offer Manshack a base salary of $74,700.
