PORT ALLEN, La. (AP) - West Baton Rouge Parish has joined 12
other parishes in achieving National Weather Service StormReady
The Advocate reported (http://bit.ly/opVlhA ) Ken Graham,
meteorologist-in-charge of the weather service office in Slidell,
presented parish officials with a recognition letter and special
StormReady signs during the Parish Council meeting this past week.
StormReady encourages communities to work with their local
National Weather Service office to improve public awareness when
hazardous weather threatens, Graham said.
