The sun is shining and Acadiana is ready to head outdoors to enjoy the gorgeous weather.
But, Friday and Saturday nights the Monster Jam kicks into high gear inside the Cajundome. There will be highflying and smashing tricks by your favorite Monster trucks.
Saturday morning, the Life Church in Lafayette hosts it's second annual Easter Eggstravaganza. The free event will be held from 10am-1pm. There will be tons of games and prizes, fun jumps and of course an Easter Egg hunt for children of all ages.
St. Martinville is where you'll find the Acadian Memorial Festival in full swing. The family friendly atmosphere will have cooking demonstrations and a re-enactment of the arrival of the Acadians on Bayou Teche. The festivities will be held from 10am-4pm Saturday.
Then, Saturday night, the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra will host a benefit concert for the conservatory of music. The concert will begin at 7:30 at the Heymann Performing Arts Center. Funds raised help with scholarships for local musicians.
And, the Catfish Festival will be rockin' through Sunday night. Acadiana is invited to enjoy the carnival rides, taste the delicious food from several vendors, and dance to foot-stomping bands.
