Here's a look at what's going on around Acadiana this weekend.
Let's see if the Ragin' Cajuns can continue their winning streak with their ninth win! The Cajuns will be hosting Western Kentucky Saturday at 7 pm. This Saturday night is also "fear the beard" night! If you have a beard--real or fake--you can get into the game for free. All you need to do is show up to the ticket office and show off your beard. The promotion is to honor four Cajun players that have sported beards this season.
If you can't get enough of UL sports, the baseball team kicks off its season tonight. They will begin a three series game hosting Southeast Missouri State.
Looking to give back?One four-year-old girl will be selling cupcakes for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.She will be at the Carquest Auto Parts Store in Krotz Springs from 10am to noon.
The Abbeville Record Shop will be honoring Dave Luquette this Saturday from 9am-11am. Big Dave-- as he was known --lost his battle with cancer Monday.
On Sunday is the Jason Alleman Benefit. Jason Alleman died unexpectedly-- leaving the family with mounds of medical bills needed to be paid. The event is happening at Cowboy's from noon to 6pm and will be featuring local musicians.
