BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Louisiana agencies have created a website that tracks a list of measures about how children are faring in the state, including benchmarks in education, health and poverty.

The site, called the Louisiana Kids' Dashboard, includes data from social service, health care, labor, juvenile justice and educational agencies. It's online at www.kidsdashboard.la.gov .

The Children's Cabinet unveiled the website Tuesday. It shows 16 different indicators, including the percentages of children who live in poverty, who get their recommended immunizations, who graduate school on time and who are obese.

Suzy Sonnier, secretary of the Department of Children and Family Services, says the one-stop data site gives the public better access to the information for tracking how state agencies are performing. She says it also helps agencies work collaboratively on making improvements for children.
