Showers and storms this afternoon moving northeast mainly over the eastern parts of the area. Heavy downpours and occasional lightning accompany activity. Developing thanks to daytime heating...rain should come to an end not long after sunset. Summer heat and humidity returns.
Isolated to scattered rain chances possible tomorrow and Friday. A front is expected to enter the region on Saturday allowing pre-frontal showers, then rain and embedded storms on Sunday. Rain chances decrease Monday as the system moves eastward into Mississippi on Tuesday.
