NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A government watchdog group in Washington is using its Web site to promote the work of state-level government watchdogs - including seven in Louisiana.
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington says it created its Directory of State-based Government Watchdogs because the work such groups do is vital.
The list of Louisiana watchdogs includes Blueprint Louisiana, Common Cause of Louisiana, the Council for a Better Louisiana, the League of Women Voters of Louisiana, the Louisiana Coalition for
Open Government, the Public Affairs Research Council and The Metropolitan Crime Commission in New Orleans.
Crew's list can be seen at: www.statewatchdoggroups.org
