Washington Parish creamery destroyed in explosion

MOUNT HERMON, La. (AP) - A fire and explosion that the State Fire Marshal believes was started by a leaking propane tank has destroyed the Smith Creamery in Mount Hermon.
The early Wednesday explosion inside the 5,000-square-foot building scattered debris as far as a half-mile away.
The fire marshal's office says no one was injured, but the Washington Parish creamery was completely destroyed.
WWL-TV reports foul play is not suspected in the explosion, but an investigation continues.
