More sunshine today with more seasonable temperatures. A ridge of high pressure over the Gulf of Mexico will keep us dry and warm with temperatures climbing back into the 80s. Over the next few days the winds will shift back from the south and moisture from the Gulf will ride back into Louisiana.
Later this week the upper level pattern will become more conducive for showers and thunderstorms. Some will pop up starting Thursday, but become more likely into Friday afternoon. Saturday a better chance for showers and thunderstorms exist as a weak cold front will drift through the area. Slightly cooler and drier air will move in toward the end of the weekend.
