Warmer spring-like temperatures are in the forecast for Acadiana this weekend as southeasterly winds from the Gulf of Mexico chases the recent chill away.
With the return flow from the Gulf of Mexico, low-level moisture will also increase inducing more in the way of late night/early morning cloudiness and/or fog.
Highs will reach the lower 70s Friday rising into the mid-70s Saturday through Tuesday. Overnight lows will moderate into the 50s this weekend and will be near 60 Sunday through Tuesday mornings.
The next cool front will arrive late Tuesday with a fairly decent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms possible but the timing on this latest front may lag into Wednesday.
Long range models are cooler and drier toward the end of next week, but at this time it appears that the following weekend may be unsettled and on the wet side.
