Clouds will mix in with sunshine today with temperatures finally approaching 70 degrees. Southerly winds will help modify the cold air mass that has been in place most of the week. Those winds will also bring the flow off of the Gulf of Mexico and the extra moisture will result in extra cloudiness this afternoon.
Normal highs for the end of March run in the mid 70s while lows are normally in the mid 50s. Temps have dropped into the 30s for the last few nights and hovered around 40 this morning. Friday should bring a mix of sun and clouds with highs back in the mid 70s. Cloudy skies will prevail over the Easter weekend. A weak cold front will drift southward toward the Gulf coast and wash out, so a few showers will be possible, but temperatures will remain warm.
Next week another cold front will drop southward Tuesday bringing cooler weather again and a chance for rain.
