This weekend promises to be a warm and humid one with a few widely scattered showers Saturday and a better chance of showers/storms to possibly spoil portions of our Festival International Sunday.
Saturday will likely start out mostly cloudy, but intervals of sun during the mid-afternoon should push our temperatures into the low-mid 80s. Don't forget the sunblock and hat for outdoor activities. Rain chances through Saturday evening should be in the 20% range.
And if you plan on attending Festival, packing an umbrella and/or a rain poncho will be a good idea just in case. And there is a fairly good chance you may need those items Sunday.
A weakening frontal trough will approach the area late Saturday night into Sunday engendering a better chance of scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. Rain chances Sunday look to be in the 50% range.
The pattern looks unsettled early next week with the risk of scattered showers and a few storms. It looks to get drier and certainly cooler later in the week into the following weekend with below normal temperatures likely.
In fact, morning temperatures into this weekend will likely be in the lower 50s, perhaps upper 40s...very unusual for May, but keeping in spirit with our cooler than normal March and April.
