The weather will be no turkey and remain quite nice through Thanksgiving but a front Friday will cool Acadiana's weather this weekend.
Look for sunny and warm conditions through Thursday with highs in the mid-upper 70s while overnight lows cool to near 50. Some late night/early morning ground fog will be likely in the usual fog favored areas through Thursday morning.
A cool front will cross the region Friday with this system appearing quite moisture-starved, leaving us with a no better than 10% rain chances.
Mostly sunny and cooler conditions are expected this weekend with highs closer to the low-mid 60s while overnight lows could drop into the upper 30s.
In the extended range, it appears that a broad upper level low pressure trough and a more active jet stream should give our area a pretty good chance of rain by late Monday and/or Tuesday of next week.
