After a foggy/cloudy start in Acadiana expect partly sunny and warm conditions for the first day of the week.
High temperatures Monday will reach the upper 70s with a few readings near 80 possible between 2-3pm in the afternoon.
Moisture will continue to funnel out of the Gulf of Mexico ahead of a fizzling cool front tomorrow but the risk of scattered showers and a few storms should increase throughout the day.
Another round of fog Tuesday morning will be possible once again before the front and showers begin to stir the atmosphere.
Showers will be possible across the area through Tuesday night/predawn Wednesday as the front stalls and slowly dissipates in the Gulf.
Look for slightly cooler conditions Wednesday/Thursday but overall seasonably mild conditions will be likely into next weekend.
A more energetic upper southwesterly flow Friday, the weekend and into early next week, should allow for a slow increase in our rain chances through the same time frame.
