Temperatures should climb into the low to mid 80s today and remain warm most of the week. High pressure drifting toward the east will allow more of the southerly flow over Acadiana, so not only will the temperatures be climbing, but also the humidity. The muggy conditions this morning brought some fog and low clouds. The fog will burn off giving way to partly cloudy skies. Warm weather should continue through Thursday.
A cold front will move in Thursday bringing another chance for rain and storms. As of this morning the models are pointing toward the front pushing through late Thursday afternoon and overnight into Friday morning. Some severe weather will be possible. Cooler and drier air moves in for the weekend with highs in the 70s and chilly morning lows in the 40s.
