Wanted Burglar Caught on Tape Arrested by Acadia Parish Deputies

Acadia Parish Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man in connection with a home burglary caught on camera. Deputies say 57 year old Dennis Hanks of Baton Rouge was caught on camera while breaking into a home on Bosco Highway on the border of Acadia and St. Landry Parishes. Deputies believe he is also responsible for numerous break-ins and thefts in the parish, and in Lafayette, Evangeline and St. Landry Parishes.
Tonight he was arrested and charged with burglary of an inhabited dwelling. He has been placed in the Acadia Parish Jail with bond set at $100,000. More charges are expected.
